If you’re looking for a vacation destination that offers some of the world’s most stunning beaches, ancient cities hidden in jungles, vibrant cities and a fascinating culture then Mexico has it all.

As a holiday option you cannot really find a country that offers more diversity than Mexico. Vibrant cities or idyllic little towns, secluded white sand beaches or buzzing beach resorts, a nightlife to die for or an intimate dinner while watching the sunset – this is a country of contrasting experiences. Mexico will not only match but exceed your expectations and you can expect sensory overload as soon as you touch down.

The world’s best beaches

For many people, Mexico holidays are all about going to the beach and you are never far from beautiful sandy shores in this country. You can choose from the slice of paradise offered on Caribbean islands such as Cozumel or head to the famous beaches of Cancun in the Yucatan Peninsula.

If you’re a scuba diving enthusiast then the Riviera Maya offers some of the world’s best diving sites including the magical underwater caves of Dos Ojos in Quintana Roo. There are also plenty of busy beach resorts such as those located in Playa del Carmen and Los Cabos where you can simply relax and sunbathe in the year round sunshine.

Exploring ancient Mexico

If it’s culture you’re after then there’s no shortage of ancient ruins to explore, many of which are hidden deep within the Mexican jungles. There are more than enough Mayan and Aztec temples, cities and pyramids to release your inner Indiana Jones spirit.

The pre-Columbian city of Chichen Itza in Tinum is arguably one of the most famous archaeological sites and the Kukulkan Pyramid has been named one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. The jungle located temples, palaces and tombs of Palenque in Chipias is spread over 15 square kilometres and is one of the most amazingly well-preserved ancient Mayan cities.

The Mexican nightlife

The Mexican people know how to enjoy themselves and whether you’re visiting vibrant Mexico City, beautiful Monterrey or the nightlife capital of Cancun you will easily find nightlife options to suit your taste. Head to the traditional tavernas and local restaurants to try out dishes such as the super spicy tortaahogada, which is roast pork and onions in a birote roll with the hottest red chile de arbol sauce.

Other famous dishes include of course tacos and burritos as well as the ubiquitous crispy corn cakes called gorditas. Once you’ve lined the stomach it’s time for tequila, partying and dancing at the wealth of live music venues and all night clubs.

Swimming with dolphins in Cozumel, hot air ballooning over the Teotihuacan Pyramids and partying all night in Mexico City, the choice is yours in this fascinating and diverse country.
